Shitennou Jadeite

FINALLY.

The internet at home is fixed now. Someone had ripped down the wiring going from the cable box outside my house to the underside of the house. The wiring had to be replaced.

I can return properly now.

I’ll be crashing early tonight, but please let me know where I can/should jump in.

I would just like to say that I am an innocent bystander in this.

I think I’m being used as a kissing booth.

But why do I feel like you’re enjoying every minute of it? See you’re even getting kisses from Jadeite! Everyone loves Jadeite kisses. (Totally not biased).

Jadeite smiles and ruffles Neph’s hair before giving him a kiss on the cheek as well. “So insecure, dear brother.”

V-babe, mun is about to board a plane, but were you going to reply to our ongoing post?

I would just like to say that I am an innocent bystander in this.

SV&J: Pre Christmas Reunion

“It might surprise you, but I find the religious birth celebration touted by some more strange than the materialistic interpretation from others.” He smiled indulgently, thinking that this sort of thing was a conversation he had never expected to have with the bubbly leader of the Guardian Senshi. “The Solstice is the shortest and darkest day of the year. When Elysion still stood, it was a time of great feasts, celebrations, plays, dances, and even gift giving. It was a celebration of survival — of life and joy and family. The hardest part of the year was behind us, and each coming day would get longer and brighter. It was a day focused on hope and new beginnings in Elysion. Perhaps it may be such for me again. The days had gotten so dark for a time, I think I had perhaps forgotten how to look towards the sun. A shame when the sun is the very symbol of Elysion.” He shook his head, “The old ways, giving gifts to celebrate accomplishments, show appreciation for another’s continued existence, and to cheer young ones.” His eyes sparkled a little as his mind revisited times a thousand years gone. “I can understand the original why of it being a little lost a thousand years later when the darkness is easily pushed back by electric lights so bright you cannot see the stars from the cities. That makes sense. The Christ child is somewhat more… baffling a development of modern times to me.”

“Are you suggesting a Solstice feast, Minako?” He grinned, teeth showing in the wideness of it. “That… might not be an unwelcome thing. And certainly good for continuing to mend bridges.” He closed his mouth, lips making a thin line for a moment as if uncertain how to proceed — or if he even wanted to, “You might need to advise me on what type of traditions would be best employed, but I would not be disinclined to help organize.”

Was Jadeite… was he opening up to her? She watched him almost in awe as he had become immersed in his memories of this topic. The Moon Kingdom celebrated plenty, this day wasn’t too special on its own when compared to others. On the day of Solstice, the citizens would look forward to the rare occasion of their planet being full and bright as it illuminated upon others surrounding it, including Earth. “I can’t say we shared the exact tradition as you did, but I remember those days being just as special as you’re describing.”

This could be her chance, Minako thought to herself with a spark of hope filling her. The more mature her left in an instant when she began imagining what the two could do to bring their people together, maybe even for good! This was a lot of pressure but it was the only thing for her to cling to. There was no way Mina could pass up such an opportunity! Without thinking she leapt forward to cup both of the males hands in her own; now holding them up between the two as they faced one another in a very close proximity. “You think? Yes, alright! This is going to be great Jadeite! Christmas with my sisters and your brothers! Ok how about we meet again soon to discuss planning it yeah? I’m sure with our two minds this event will be one to remember!”

She stared up into his eyes with her bright blue ones, all negativity between them completely nonexistent to Venus as she now had a new priority to tackle. “You’ll really help me Jadeite?” Her cheeky smile faded into a warmer, softer one as she waited for a solid answer, there was no need for her to get her hopes at its highest just for the youngest of the Shitennou to crush them- though she was sure he’d love to do just that.

Offering to work with a Senshi on anything willingly still left him with a tight knot at the bottom of his stomach, but Kunzite wanted things to get better between all of them. The Prince had all but commanded it. Their Prince was still uncomfortable with the idea of commanding them. It was almost cute, if one were too call their Prince cute in a fashion similar to idealistic children, which he certainly would not. The offer of cooperation over small matters was an important step. Surely she would be just as uncomfortable with the idea of working closely together, while still appreciating the sentiment. It was nearly impossible to think that she would take him up on it—

Small delicate hands were suddenly clasped over his larger calloused ones, and his entire body was tilted to face the golden Senshi, bright blue eyes looking excitedly into his own ocean blue ones. His brain stopped working for a long moment, not quite comprehending her reaction. He blinked once, slowly. Blue eyes and gold hair. We are almost alike enough to seem related if you didn’t look closely. How strange…

His mind refocused slowly as comprehension dawned on him. Without trying to disentangle his hands from hers, he took an unconscious step backwards, stumbling on the curb and nearly falling into the street. He caught himself, and bumped roughly against the corner of a parked car before stepping back up to the sidewalk. He’d stretched his arms out to avoid pulling the Senshi into his near-fall, but now he stood closer than he had before, looking down into the shorter woman’s bright face.

“Ah.” He felt awkward as a child again for a moment, face flushing a little in embarrassment  and coughed experimentally before speaking, “Yes. I would not go back on my offered word. We should arrange a time to meet and make more definite plans.”

image kun-zite replied to your post: So… Looks like the roster right now is: Venus …

The last thing seen was Neph moving back in with me. I’m not sure where he’s going to stand now that everything is gunna be settled down though. Probably back with you. So I can have my mature man space without you kiddies

Whatever his mun wants to do then. :) No hard feelings from me. I dropped off the planet for a bit.

So… Looks like the roster right now is:

  1. Venus
  2. Kunzite
  3. Jupiter
  4. Mercury
  5. Nephrite
  6. Jadeite

(and by proxy of me, baby-Beryl and Ace (if I can recall the email-password combo) are back if we want them.)

I’m inclined to assume Jad and Neph still share an apartment unless Neph objects.

Jadeite returns. Tumblr breaks. Sorry, must have siphoned power from the wrong electricity source to use that teleportation spell.

Jadeite snorted playfully at that, “You don’t want friendship with me, you wish to ensure I will not cause bad blood with my brothers again.” His smile turned sad. “I do not fault you that. I have had my fill of bloodshed for a couple of lifetimes too, you know.”

Jadeite shoved his hands into his pockets, looking to the sky for a snowfall that had thus far refused to come. “The Winter Solstice celebration. I had nearly forgotten. Saturnalia trees decked with lights and exchange of gifts in celebration of surviving the year. Seems appropriate for us.” He looked back to Minako, “I was unaware you practiced the European holiday. Do you take to it from a commercial standpoint, religious, or otherwise? I understood practicing the Christian religion was uncommon in Japan.”

“No, no. Not a religious reason.” Minako shook her head, that warm smile still showing despite Jadeite’s new tone he was showing her. “God or not, this season makes just about everyone happy. The lights, the gift giving, it’s beautiful and while it may sound materialistic to you, it’s the mood of things that makes me happy.” The more she spoke, the more she became lost in her own words and mind. “I think, it’s a great time to show someone how you really feel about them. I know I’ll work hard to make sure the senshi see that… and Artemis, Kunzite, and who knows, maybe I’ll treat you Shitennou to some Holiday cheer to!~” Her energy returned, her focus shifting back to the other blonde with a playful wink.
